More and more people are looking for ways to reduce or cut out alcohol intake for a variety of reasons. Motivations vary but the fundamentals of breaking a habit are the same and, although not easy, are relatively simple to follow.
BUT first you need to be informed.
There are many pros and cons of drinking and, up until now, the focus has most likely been on the pros ( if you're still drinking). If you are really curious and serious about making changes then it is very helpful to be informed or re-informed about the cons, swiftly followed up by an exploration of the UPsides of not drinking. Whilst this may not necessarily be an attractive proposition it will give you motivational ammunition when you start your mission, whatever that may be
Once it is clear in your mind that you are ready to change your behaviour you're ready for the next step.
